Proverbs 6:20-22
My son, keep thy father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of thy mother: Bind them continually upon thine heart, [and] tie them about thy neck. When thou goest, it shall lead thee; when thou sleepest, it shall keep thee; and [when] thou awakest, it shall talk with thee.
Spiritual Flowers
The old saying goes; “April showers bring May flowers.” It’s been my experience that tilling, digging, planting, feeding, weeding and mulching help also.
And the same applies to our spiritual flower gardens. We ask the Holy Spirit to till up our hearts and remove the stones of bitterness, un-forgiveness and hardness. Then we need help to get rid of the weeds of discontent, lust and bias.
Every gardener knows that you need to plant good quality seed or plants to have a beautiful garden. So we ask the Holy Spirit to help us plant and feed our joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Finally we need to mulch with the word of God. Then with God’s kind oversight and attention we can bloom for His glory.

Youth Group
Recently Larry Stevens visited the youth, singing and ministering. Larry lives a unique life, living out of his van and singing and ministering to residents of nursing homes across the country. Larry enjoys visiting our youth group although he’s accustomed to a much more “mature” crowd.
The adults are attempting to line up a special musical treat for the last day of youth group. A young band out of Lynnville may entertain the youth. The band members are youths themselves. You don’t want to miss them!
I’ve been impressed the last couple Wednesday nights at the quality of soccer players we have. It is a blessing to see our kids play well together.
Thank you Francene for the computer and power point presentations, thank you George for running it and thank you Peggy for the beautiful music. I believe our worship of God is better because of it.
Calling all Cooks: If you have a new recipe you would love to try on a group, don’t hesitate to sign up to feed the youth group. They are not overly fussy. The church provides the plates, silverware, napkins and glasses.
Church News
At long last the initial papers are in for the Ewart Mission! Follow-up documents to transfer the building will be needed next. We can now begin meeting to spruce the building up and prepare it for upcoming activities. We should start scheduling work activities and fundraisers as well as developing activities and plans for its use. Please feel free to provide your input on how you would like to see the mission develop. Keys will be made available.
Congratulations
Congratulations to our young drivers who are getting their permits. May God keep you safe as you learn this new skill. Please always say a prayer before you start your engine. Ask God to send His angels to be around you and to help you drive safely. Each of you are too precious to us to lose you in an accident or to have you injured. And to the parents of these new drivers, May God be with you also!
Welcome Ty Dale!
Congratulations to Brenden and Teresa Thompson on the birth of Ty Dale born April 20th. We pray all of God’s blessings upon you.
Watch for the bikes
Please be more aware of bicycles and motorcycles that share the road with us. It only takes a moment for a life changing accident to happen.
Thank you stewards
Pastor Jann wanted to personally thank the stewards and everyone who helped them on the recent work day. Dead trees and limbs were cut down, cut upand hauled to the burn area. The lawn was mowed and trimmed; repairs were made to the bathroom; window plastic removed; wood floor treated and I’m sure I’m forgetting several other things. It all helps to make our little church even better.
Beautiful Decorations
Thank you Peggy for our beautiful decorations and to everyone who donated Easter Lilies.
